Chapter 15
Helen had been bound to the study chair by Justin for a full day and night.
Her voice grew hoarse from screaming.
Yet she remained calm despite knowing her secrets were exposed.
Her confidence stemmed from Justin’s unwavering love for her.
Otherwise, how could she have easily driven away Janet, who’d been with Justin for years?
Exhausted, Helen slumped back to rest.
Just then, the study door creaked open slowly.
Seeing Justin enter, hope flickered in Helen’s eyes.
She lifted her tear–swollen, almond–shaped eyes, whispering timidly, “I shouldn’t have lied to you.”
“But it was only because I love you so much.”
“And I truly knew nothing about Janet’s sister.”
“Maybe she did it deliberately–killed her own sister to cover up the Johnson family scandal. She framed me to avoid blame.”
“I’m completely innocent, I swear.”
Justin laughed coldly at her words.

Thinking she’d gained ground, Helen squirmed toward him pathetically.
She failed to notice the glacial fury deepening in his smiling eyes.
Justin crouched down to her level.
Under Helen’s expectant gaze,
he untied her ropes.
Then he stood abruptly, stomping hard on her hand.
Agonizing, pain shot through her before she even registered the bone- crunching snap.
Her usually composed face contorted into a grotesque mask of agony.
“Still acting?” Sean gritted through clenched teeth, eyes reddened at the corners, murderous. “You think I’m easily fooled, is that it?”
With Justin’s signal,
a bloodied figure was hurled violently into the room.
