“If this person insists on staying here, then let him stay.”
Justin indeed stood downstairs from Janet’s place all day.
Until late at night, a downpour suddenly started.
The Pier
ال
The rain was so heavy, as if determined to drown the entire world.
There was no shelter from the rain nearby
Except for the home of Janet and Rachel right in front.
But Justin knew very well.
He hadn’t been forgiven, so what right did he have to enter.
He shivered continuously in the rain from the cold.
The tall man of 1.9 meters looked pitifully shrunk.
To make matters worse, a strong wind began blowing.
Justin’s body became increasingly unsteady.
His vision seemed to blur.
Yet he stubbornly raised his head, gazing at the second floor’s warm glow.
Janet sat by the window with Roger.
They were chatting about something, looking utterly delighted.

Bitterness and grievance instantly flooded Justin’s heart.
So what Roger said was actually true.
But the spot beside Janet should clearly be his.
They used to do the same, sipping drinks while watching rainy days.
Back then, Janet’s eyes held unconcealed love when looking at him.
Yet this beautiful relationship.
He personally destroyed.
Overwhelmed by rage, Justin collapsed unconscious in the rain.
Janet upstairs saw it all clearly.
Her eyelashes fluttered slightly when Justin fell.
Roger spoke softly, “Need me to take him to the hospital?”
Janet gave him a puzzled look, “What if we catch colds in this downpour?”
“I just think it’s troublesome. If he dies at our doorstep, it’ll affect Mom and me.”
“Hope he holds out till morning. Someone’ll take him to the hospital then.”
“If he must die, don’t let it be at our doorstep.”
After speaking, Janet stood and walked inside.
Roger couldn’t help smiling at the corner of his mouth.

Chapter 22
Justin had a long dream.
He dreamed that after he fainted, Janet rushed anxiously to his side.
She was so frantic she started crying.
Justin wanted to wipe her tears but couldn’t move.
The dream felt too perfect.
Justin didn’t even want to wake up.
Because waking meant seeing himself alone in a hospital bed.

He still felt an unavoidable pang of disappointment.
Just then, a nurse came to check on Justin.
Justin eagerly asked in a raspy voice.
“Excuse me, who brought me here? Was it a woman?”
The nurse gave Justin a baffled look.
“What woman? The morning patrol guard found you.”
Seeing Justin’s crushed expression, the nurse blurted out.
“Stop dwelling on it. You’re lucky to be alive.”
“You lay in that storm all night–nobody cared if you lived or died.”
“Whoever you’re looking for clearly didn’t give a damn about you.”
These words pierced Justin’s ears like needles.
Blinded by emotion, he shouted at the nurse with bloodshot eyes, “Get

out!”
Then he started yanking out his IV and smashing things.
Justin tugged at his own hair, as if trying to vent all his resentment and frustration.
The nurse, frightened by Justin’s outburst, started scolding under her breath.
