When we arrived at the police station, I found Brandon was already there, pleading with the police officers, saying urgently, “This is all just a misunderstanding. Can you please not file charges and release her right away?“[]
The senior officer in charge of the case frowned and said, “Mr. Harris, the report was made by Ms. Morgan. Even though you’re her husband, if she doesn’t want to settle the matter, the case can’t be dismissed casually. The amount involved is quite substantial–it’s not a small sum!“]

Brandon snorted angrily and didn’t say anything else. With a dark expression, he prepared to leave the police station.[]
