Mike’s mother was pale and looked extremely flustered.]]
The police officers, almost like they were escorting criminals, brought the mother and son back to the police station. When they saw Tina and me there, Mike’s mother seemed to realize something, growing even more panicked and fearful.
One of the officers spoke to the senior officer, saying, “Captain, we arrived at her house and found that she and her son were about to run away. There were quite a few valuables in their car. They must have known in advance that her mother was arrested.”
At this moment, Mike’s mother no longer had the arrogance she displayed at the amusement park. Seeing her shaking in fear, couldn’t help but sneer.]
However, just as quickly, I couldn’t laugh anymore.[]
Mike suddenly burst into tears, running up to Brandon and clinging to his leg, crying out with a pitiful face, “Daddy, why are these police officers arresting us?“]]
“I’m so scared! When can we go home?“]]
I was stunned.]
All the officers present were stunned as well.]]
Brandon was my husband–when did he become Mike’s father?]
Brandon seemed completely thrown off by the situation as if he’d been struck by a blow. He kicked Mike away angrily, shouting, “Who’s your father? Stop saying nonsense!“]]
His furious reaction made it look as if he was trying to cover something up, as though he was guilty.]
Mike was kicked hard and crashed into the corner of a desk in the police station, his head striking the edge, causing a deep wound with blood pouring out. Mike fainted.[]
Mike’s mother let out a scream and rushed to his side, frantically trying to stop the bleeding.[]
She seemed equally shaken and, with red eyes, yelled at Brandon, “Brandon, you cold–blooded, heartless beast!“]
“He’s your biological son! How could you be so cruel to him?“[]
“You said you would give us recognition, but it’s been a year, and now I can’t even tell others that you’re my man or that Mike is your real son.“[]
“You’re the one who told my mother to work as a nanny for Olivia and her daughter. You told her she could take anything from the Morgan family, saying Olivia wouldn’t notice. If it wasn’t for you, my mom wouldn’t have been caught, and Mike and I wouldn’t be here at the police station!“]]
“Brandon, you’re the one who ruined us!“]
Mike’s mother seemed to be in a state of desperation, exposing everything Brandon had done. Many of the officers were taken
aback by her words.
Brandon was clearly panicking now. He angrily shouted, “You filthy woman, stop talking nonsense! I don’t even know you! I’ll sue you for slander!“]]
Then, he quickly turned to me, saying, “Honey, she’s making false accusations. You can’t believe her!“]]
“I’ve never done anything wrong to you. She’s just causing trouble and spreading rumors to ruin our relationship.“]
Brandon’s words only made Mike’s mother angrier.[]
She glared at him fiercely, her voice shaking with rage, “I have proof that you cheated on your wife!“[]
“When you first married Olivia, you only did it because of her money and your smooth–talking ways. You tricked me into being with you.“]
“To prevent you from abandoning me later, I secretly recorded videos and took pictures every time we were together…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Brandon, in a blind rage, charged at Mike’s mother, intending to physically assault her.]
If the police hadn’t stopped him, Mike’s mother would surely have been badly beaten.[]
I watched coldly, feeling a mixture of pain and anger. But at the same time, I also felt a strange sense of relief.[]
Perhaps, when I gave birth to Tina, I had already sensed that Brandon wasn’t a man worth trusting for life, nor was he a good father.
Through this incident, I had finally seen his true face. It wasn’t too late.[]

I walked up to Brandon and slapped him hard across the face, looking at him coldly as I said, “Brandon, I was wrong about you!“]
“Let’s get a divorce. I never want to see you again!“[]
Brandon, realizing things were beyond repair, sneered and said to me, “I’ve wanted to divorce you for a long time!“[]
“If it weren’t for your family’s wealth, do you really think I would have married you?“]
“And you gave birth to a worthless daughter, a pretty face with no use. I’ve had enough of you.“[]
“Even if we divorce, you still have to split the assets with me. Don’t forget, we never signed a prenuptial agreement.“]
As he spoke, he grinned wickedly.[]
