Chapter 8
I wanted to find evidence to confirm my suspicion.[]
But mom’s room was always locked tight.[]
Mom never allowed me into her room–this had been the rule for years.[]
She claimed the room contained important documents and medications that she needed to control, so I couldn’t enter.]]
But that wasn’t true.
One day when mom wasn’t home, I secretly found the spare key and entered her room.]
There were no important documents or medications inside–everything was simply clean and tidy.[]
The arrangements and her daily habits reminded me of my aunt’s home from before. They were almost identical, strengthening my suspicion.
I didn’t care anymore and began searching through everything.[]
I searched all the cabinets, drawers, and boxes, but couldn’t find what I was looking for.
Then I remembered that my aunt used to hide things under her bed, attached to the floorboards in bags.
I discovered this accidentally as a child while crawling under my aunt’s bed to retrieve something, and I never forgot it.]
With this in mind, I crawled under mom’s bed.]
Sure enough.
A document in a bag was stuck to the underside of the bed, exactly like my aunt’s old habit.
I opened the document and discovered the shocking truth.
It contained an “artificial implantation surgery” form with my mother’s name on it, while a “egg retrieval surgery” form bore my aunt’s name.
I finally learned that before my existence, my mom had fertility issues–she was born without eggs.]
To fulfill my mom’s dream of motherhood, she convinced with my dad’s sperm and implanted into my mom’s womb.[]
my aunt to donate an egg, which was then artificially inseminated
That’s how I came to be.]
There was also a diary, written by my aunt, documenting how she gradually fell in love with my dad while my mom was pregnant, developing feelings through their daily interactions.]
After nine months, my mom gave birth to me, and the three of them raised me together.[]
Chapter 8
My cuteness awakened maternal and paternal instincts in my aunt and dad. They grew closer like a family, causing my mom to become suspicious.
My mom knew feelings had developed between them, but couldn’t bring herself to blame my aunt, so she often quarreled with my dad instead, leading to frequent arguments.]]
To escape this strange atmosphere at home, my dad found excuses to go on adventures, preferring to rough it outdoors rather than come home.]]
As I grew up, my memories formed around a father who rarely came home, a mother who constantly broke down and recovered, and a gentle aunt who loved and spoiled me unconditionally.]
As I got older, my mom didn’t want to continue living this way, so she tried to persuade my aunt to donate another egg so she could give my dad a son.]]
My dad firmly refused!
My mom persisted for many years.

Four years ago, when my mom brought up the idea again, my dad, fed up, wanted to escape to the Death Valley. My mom refused to let him go alone and insisted on joining him.
By then, hatred had already taken root in her heart.]
After years in this complex three–person relationship, my mom had developed psychological issues and had lost any affection for my dad.
On the way to the Death Valley, my mom secretly replaced my dad’s vitamin C, causing him to slowly poison, ultimately preventing him from leaving the Death Valley.[]
But my mom couldn’t find peace either and committed suicide in the Death Valley, explaining the photos of the female corpse my dad took there.]]
