I gently caressed her belly and said, “If the Paterson family truly cared about status, Edward wouldn’t be with you in the first place. Besides, all women adore their grandchildren. She might get so excited that she’ll push Edward to marry you tomorrow.”
Eliza was thrilled to hear this and immediately decided to go see
Sienna.
She had a pass from the Paterson family, so the security guards didn’t give her any trouble.
After arriving at the Paterson estate, I put my mask back on. Eliza praised me for being considerate, knowing not to steal her spotlight.
Eliza rang the doorbell, and the Paterson family’s housekeeper answered. The housekeeper asked about Eliza’s basic information, then reported to Sienna. Soon after, the door opened.
In the luxurious living room, Sienna stood quietly by the floor–to–ceiling windows in a deep blue dress, gazing at an old photograph in her hands, lost in thought.
Eliza walked over shyly to greet her: “Hello, Mrs. Sienna.”
Sienna looked her up and down, her eyes full of disdain: “So you’re Eliza?”

Eliza nodded. Just as she was about to speak, Sienna continued: “You’re carrying Edward’s child? I’ve seen plenty of poor students like you who lie to marry rich men.”
Eliza handed Sienna the pregnancy test report and said firmly: “Mrs. Sienna, although my family isn’t well–off, I don’t have bad intentions. I also look down on those women who fake pregnancies to marry wealthy men. I’m truly carrying Edward’s child. Here’s the pregnancy test report and paternity test.”
Sienna looked at the reports, uncontrollable fury blazing in her eyes, her entire presence radiating authority: “You came quite prepared.”
Then she made a phone call and roared: “Get back here right
now!”
Her tone was supremely commanding.
Eliza panicked: “Mrs. Sienna, please don’t be angry with Edward. I came here on my own initiative. It has nothing to do with him.”
Sienna’s disgust was undisguised: “I’m also a woman, so I know exactly what you’re thinking. And Edward is my son–I don’t need you pleading for him.”
Eliza maintained her kind and considerate image: “I just feel bad for Edward. You can’t wrongly accuse him. Right, Sophie?”

Sienna looked at me, and I quickly lowered my head. I hadn’t expected that even after being reborn, Eliza would still be this foolish.
Before I could answer, Sienna said: “Lift your head up.”
Just as I was thinking about how to refuse, Edward returned.
His expression was dark and grim, but Eliza acted as if she couldn’t see it, pitifully taking his hand: “Edward, I just wanted to tell Sienna about the pregnancy to make her happy. I didn’t mean anything else.”
Sienna slapped Edward hard across the face: “You need to deal with this situation immediately. If something like this happens again, you’ll no longer be part of the Paterson family.”
Edward kept his head down without saying a word and left with Eliza.
I followed closely behind them.
Being led by Edward’s hand, Eliza was immersed in happiness, completely oblivious to Edward’s dark and cold gaze.
“Edward, I know you won’t abandon me and the baby.” Eliza’s tone was both aggrieved and stubborn.
Edward stopped walking and smiled: “Eliza, my mom was in a

He gently caressed Eliza’s neck and said tenderly: “Take good care of the baby. In three days, I’ll propose to you on the cruise ship.”
Eliza was so surprised she nearly screamed with joy.
Watching this scene, I felt like laughing, thinking to myself: “That cruise ship is where the nightmare truly begins.”
News of Edward’s plan to propose to Eliza quickly spread throughout the school.
Everyone envied Eliza, so wherever she went, she became the
center of attention.
Many students even skipped the campus job fair, constantly surrounding Eliza with flattery and compliments.
