Chapter 13
Calvin lowered his gaze.
One time is not enough, the blood flow is too little. Helena may not care,
He tightly pursed his lips, picked up the pen, and stabbed it hard again until the bodyguard beside him stopped him.
The pain quickly reflected to the cerebral cortex. Calvin’s temples were bulging with blue veins, and he maintained his last bit of composure, staring at Dorothy intently. He ordered intermittently, “Call Helena, we need Helena…”
Dorothy nodded eagerly, “Okay, I’ll video call Mrs. Fernandez right now!” The tablet quickly displayed the page for making the video call.
Calvin stared at the screen without blinking for a moment.
However, the call was still not connected until the system automatically hung up.
Calvin: “Hit me again.”
Dorothy dared not object and continued to make the call. Time after time, until the battery indicator turned red, not long after, the screen
automatically went black and shut down.
Dorothy hesitated, “It, it could be Mrs. Fernandez’s work keeping her busy…” However, as the words left her mouth, even Dorothy herself didn’t believe it.
Over the past seven years, everyone knew that the person Helena valued the most was Calvin, and everything she valued was also related to

Calvin.
However, at this moment, all the missed calls marked in red on the screen – can only mean that Helena no longer
cares.
Calvin picked up his phone and opened one of the couple tracking apps.
Initially, Helena forced Calvin to download it on his phone to prevent him from losing contact after he fell ill. At that time, Calvin just felt annoyed.
He felt like his life was completely controlled by Helena, the suffocating feeling of being bound slowly engulfing him, like drowning as his mouth, nose, and eyes were completely submerged.
For the sake of this software, he deliberately kept Helena at a distance for a long time, rejecting all contact from her. He wouldn’t respond to anything she said, just looking at her coldly as if she were a babbling clown.
Calvin, however, never felt regret.
But at this moment…
He pursed his lips tightly and opened the location software for the first time. Soon, the system progress bar spun for a moment, instantly displaying Helena’s current location on the map.
The man lowered his gaze, looked at the screen, and said coldly, “Book a ticket to Britain, and make it fast.”
Dorothy hurriedly responded and quickly left the study.
However, the news received was that the air currents would be turbulent in the coming week, and all flights had been suspended. It was expected to resume in about ten days.
Ten days… it was too late.
Chute 13
Calvin anxiously closed his eyes, and after a brief moment of visual blackout, his sense of smell and hearing became more acute.
The scent of bergamot in the air was almost gone, replaced instead by the sticky perfume smell coming from Kate. Disgusting.
Calvin frowned as he opened his eyes and mechanically searched for the incense in the drawer. After lighting it with difficulty, the refreshing scent slowly began to spread.
In an instant, his irritable mood was smoothed out.
There was nothing unexpected. This time, it was just Helena throwing a
tantrum.
In the past, he used to do this often, deliberately ignoring her existence, bypassing her to communicate with others, or deliberately disrupting Helena’s arrangements, leaving her feeling frustrated and overwhelmed.
But every time, Helena would continue to clean up the mess for him as if nothing had happened. There was never an exception.
Calvin walked into the bedroom in silence.
The wedding photo that used to hang on the bedside was hidden behind the bedside table by Helena because he was extremely fed up with it.
He pursed his lips, pulled out the wedding photo from inside, which had already been covered with a thick layer of dust,
But in the photo, the smile on Helena’s face completely overshadowed everything. On the other hand, he stood by Helena’s side, with an extremely cold and distant expression. Even his body movements subconsciously avoided Helena’s direction, staring coldly at the camera.
Calvin lowered his gaze, the wound on his wrist hastily bandaged by the doctor, blood seeping through the gauze.

Just then, the phone suddenly rang.
Calvin quickly answered the phone, only to find out it wasn’t Helena, but the family doctor’s number: “Mr. Fernandez, Ms. Sullivan’s child has been saved, do you want to come and see?”
Calvin pursed his lips and hung up the phone directly. He lowered his eyes and stared at the button on his shirt that was fastened incorrectly, his expression blurred.
It’s okay. Ten days later, he would personally go to pick up Helena. She should be very excited, right? After all, she rarely takes the initiative to make peace like this.
Calvin relaxed slightly and stared intently at the icon on the GPS app.
