Chapter 11
Leonard, pushed out of the operating room, slowly regained consciousness from the anesthesia in a half–dreamy state.
As soon as he regained consciousness, he immediately grabbed the doctor’s sleeve and asked urgently, “Doctor, how is Anora?”
The doctor was pulled and quickly bent down to respond, “Her surgery was very successful, but she hasn’t woken up yet. You don’t need to worry too much.”
However, Leonard only heard the news that Anora had not woken up yet. He struggled to get out of bed, feeling a sharp pain from his recently operated body.
But he ignored the doctor’s advice and went to get out of bed. The doctor quickly helped him, and said helplessly, “You just had surgery, you can’t get out of bed and walk around yet!”
“No, I had to see her in order to feel at
ease!”
Leonard in front of him, however, completely ignored all persuasion. He struggled to get out of bed and walk, and the doctor, seeing that persuasion was useless, had to have a wheelchair brought in.
The doctor pushed Leonard, pushing him, and brought him to Anora’s ward, where Leonard finally saw Anora lying in bed.
Anora was asleep, her face looking haggard, but she appeared unharmed.
At this moment, Leonard finally breathed a sigh of relief, his heart slowly filled with satisfaction, and he looked at Anora with gentle eyes.

Leonard did not leave Anora’s hospital room until evening.

Seven days ago, seven days ago was the day of his surgery, when he was donating a kidney to Anora, how could he have known!
So Isabelle left without saying a word, did she know something?
Leonard felt a tightness in his chest, and panic made his face even paler.
