Chapter 15
At that moment, Leonard was being wheeled out of the emergency room.
The doctor, seeing that he had no family around him, specifically instructed the assistant in detail: “The patient has just had surgery, so try not to stimulate him too much recently, as there are too many emotional fluctuations.”
The assistant kept nodding, but in his hands he held the divorce agreement he had collected, the abortion surgery instructions, and the divorce certificate, feeling like crying but unable to shed tears.
What on earth are this couple doing? The boss had his first love’s kidney removed.
The lady was even more ruthless, directly aborting the child and disappearing without a trace.
The assistant felt a severe headache, and now it was too late for him to say anything. He could only hurry up and investigate the whereabouts of the lady.
In the hospital room, Leonard woke up.
After he regained consciousness, he thought about everything he had seen in the box and could hardly believe it.
He stared blankly at the ceiling, feeling like he was dreaming.
Isabelle not only disappeared, but also divorced him, even abandoning their child with such cruelty.
With just a little bit of thought, he suddenly became anxious,
Someone come! I want to go home!”
The assistant at the door shivered and broke in, seeing Leonard’s letermined attitude to go home and find Isabelle. The assistant didn’t try o persuade him anymore and quickly helped with the packing. During the process, he constantly reassured his own boss to calm down.
Afraid of angering Leonard again, there was no room for any more emotional fluctuations.
Finally, Leonard returned home with his assistant.
But looking at the room that was originally packed full of things, now missing a piece here and there, Leonard’s heart felt empty.
All the things related to Isabelle in the house disappeared, including the items they had bought together for the unborn child.
At first in the hospital, Leonard was still unwilling to accept it. He believed that Isabelle must still love him, just temporarily angry. She would never leave him no matter what.
Looking around the empty house in front of him, it told him very realistically.
He was wrong, very wrong.
Isabelle really left.
She threw away all the gifts he had given her, as well as the children.
Of course, he was also included.
He remained silent for a long time, sitting quietly on the sofa, his eyes

empty. He had never felt his home so unfamiliar and desolate before.
“Master, I have already inquired about the family of the madam, but there is no news of her.”
The assistant glanced at Leonard’s expression and cautiously asked him, “Do you want to continue investigating?”
Leonard sneered, feeling a knot of anger in his heart: “No need.”
In that case, she might as well disappear, since he didn’t love her anyway.
On the way back to the hospital, Leonard felt empty inside, as if a big piece of his heart had been ripped out. His thoughts were tangled like a mess of yarn in his mind, binding and ready to explode.
He looked at the city and remembered many memories he had with Isabelle.
These fragments of memories lingered in his mind like a thick fog, blurry yet extremely clear.
Hesitating, Leonard finally spoke to his assistant, “Isabelle, continue to investigate.”
After saying this sentence, he seemed to feel a little more comfortable.
Staring at his own face in the window, Leonard himself was not sure what he was thinking.
He clearly knew from start to finish that he was just using her as a substitute, and he always loved Anora.
But why did he feel so sad at the mere thought of Isabelle disappearing like that?

He couldn’t think clearly, he just knew that if he didn’t investigate further, he would feel blocked and uncomfortable in his heart.
It must have been because they had been married for a full two years at least.
It must have been because no matter how Isabelle said it, she was Anora’s niece. If Isabelle went missing and was in danger, he would not be able to explain to Anora.
It must have been like this.
That’s right.
