Chapter 14 Ignore Her
In the interview hall of Heyday Entertainment.
Daisy pushed the door open and walked in, then shocked by the
crowd.
She thought, “Isn’t it just an audition for the leading role in a
music video? Even Buena Hayworth, the renowned actress
from Star Entertainment, and Annie Shawn, a rising star from
Heyday Entertainment, are present.”
With Annie and Buena in the mix, her odds of success seemed
diminished.
Daisy took a deep breath, forced a smile, and approached Annie
and Buena. “Hi, I’m Daisy Osborne from Star Entertainment.
Nice to…”
“Star Entertainment?” Annie rolled her eyes, brushed off Daisy, and walked away without acknowledging her.
Buena glanced at Daisy with a cold face and nodded slightly as a
greeting.
“It’s beginning soon. Get a seat.” Buena had an indifferent tone.
Apparently, she didn’t intend to continue to talk to her.

Daisy stared at Buena’s back with annoyance in her eyes and
clenched her fists.
Since others had sat down, she took a seat in the waiting zone
too.
Just then, the door to the interview hall swung open, revealing
four men and a woman.
“Hi, these are the judges for the selection of the leading lady in a music video. The auditions will proceed in the order of the
numbers assigned to you upon entry. The contestant with the
highest score will become the heroine of Lester Gerrard’s music
video.”
The male speaker paused and glanced at the young man beside him, chuckling, “Of course, Lester has the ultimate decision, so he holds veto power. Make the most of this opportunity. The audition is commencing now.”
Daisy’s eyes lit up. She thought, “If I can make him like me, I can get the job!”
With that in mind, she couldn’t help looking at Lester.
Lester, a striking young man, stood tall and elegant, exuding an
air of pride and untamed nature.
Chapter 14 Ignore Her
With fair skin giving him a cold and polished appearance, his
thick black hair fell before his forehead. His beautiful long eyes
slanted slightly upward, conveying a sense of pride. A red mole
adorned the corner of his right eye, adding a touch of
mysterious charm.
Daisy was breathless. She hadn’t anticipated him being even
more handsome in person than on TV; it was truly
mesmerizing.
Lester seemed to notice her and turned his head to give her a
scrutinizing look. As their eyes locked, Lester’s face betrayed a
hint of disdain. However, Daisy blushed slightly. Just as she was
about to greet him, she noticed Lester taking a seat at the judges‘
table.
Daisy’s smile stiffened. Ignored repeatedly, she felt as though
she had been slapped. Her admiration for Lester faded instantly.
The audition highlighted Heyday Entertainment’s emphasis on
Lester, but Lester showed little interest in the selection process.
As time elapsed, Buena emerged as the highest scorer, being the
sole contestant to earn more than six points from Lester.
Daisy felt relieved when she learned about others‘ scores.
The heroine in the MV must know how to play the piano. After

she was taken back to the Osborne family, Neilson hired a
professional pianist to teach her. With Shirlene’s guidance,
Daisy could outperform other candidates in piano.
So she wasn’t worried.
“Daisy Osborne from Star Entertainment.”
Daisy stood up quickly and walked onstage.
A smile touched her fair face. She said in a sweet voice, “Ladies
and gentlemen, I’m Daisy Osborne from Star…”
“Cut the crap. Just play,” Lester interrupted her impatiently.
Her smile froze. She scolded him in her heart, walked to the
piano, and started playing the piano.
As she played, Lester was less impatient. A touch of surprise.
flashed in his eyes as he looked at her with interest.
Daisy glanced at him and found that he was staring at her. She
thought Lester was attracted to her, so she was smug. As a
result, she made a mistake.
It made Lester frown and say to someone by his side, “You called
me over for this? She even made a mistake in such a simple
song! Do you think she is good enough?”
Chapter 14 ignore Her
Lester’s voice was loud. Daisy heard clearly. And her face
changed.
The person beside him put on a smile. “We’re trying to get in
touch with Ms. Bernstein’s daughter. But she hasn’t replied yet.
Your new song will be released soon. Could you please just
choose one? I think the actress onstage and Buena are good.
You…”
Lester waved his hand impatiently. Then that person shut up.
After all the performances concluded, Buena and Daisy
emerged as the top contenders. While Daisy lacked Buena’s
fame, her proficiency at the piano captured Lester’s interest.
However, Buena held the title of the most popular actress at
Star Entertainment.
The four judges were at a loss on how to reach a final decision and turned to Lester for guidance.
Glancing at the list, Lester pointed at Daisy’s name, expressing in an unsatisfied tone, “They’re not impressive, but I’ll go with her.”
The judges felt relieved. One of them stood up and declared, “After discussion, we have decided to select Daisy…”
Before he could finish, the door to the interview hall was
opened.
Chapter 14 Ignore Her
People looked in the direction of the door. A gentle young man
and two women stood at the door.
One of the women was not stunning but looked charming and
clever.
The other woman was stunning and graceful. Her eyes were
beautiful. They could hardly take their eyes off her.
“Ms. Clark, Ms. Osborne, come in, please.” The man was polite
and asked them to go in first.
“Thank you, Mr. Bellamy,” smiled Shirlene.
She didn’t expect that Kenneth Bellamy, the boss of Heyday Entertainment, would meet her in person.
It surprised the employees of Heyday Entertainment even
more. They looked at Shirlene, unable to remember her.
Only Lester’s eyes lit up as he saw her.
Upon seeing Shirlene, Daisy felt as if she had been doused in cold water, sending a shiver down her spine. The sight made her feel icy, and she clenched her fists, resentment evident in her
eyes.
She was on the verge of securing the job, and then Shirlene

appeared!
Daisy thought, “What a schemer! You just can’t keep away from
me, can you?”
“Mr. Bellamy, who is this?”
“This is Shirlene Osborne from Star Entertainment. She’s here
for the audition,” Kenneth introduced.
Although Heyday Entertainment had confidence in Shirlene’s
mother’s talent, the audition had its rules. Shirlene’s success
depended on her performance.
The judges exchanged glances, silently conveying their
agreement.
“Ms. Shirlene, please…”
“Wait!” Daisy, who was sitting in the waiting zone, stood up at
once and raised her voice. “Didn’t you just make the decision?
She’s late. Isn’t it unfair to us?”
“Yeah. She came after the selection. That’s rude.”
“Hush. Didn’t you see Mr. Bellamy take her here? Maybe she has
a backup! We can’t afford to offend her.”
