Chapter 19 Not a Man You Can Get
“Why is she here again?” Buena murmured. Then something
occurred to her. She leaned against Sebastian on purpose and
whispered in his ear. Then she walked to Shirlene.
Sebastian stared at her back and pressed his lips, but he didn’t
stop her.
“Ms. Osborne.” Buena walked over. A half–smile was on her fair
face. “What a coincidence! We met again.”
Thinking that Buena had a thing for her husband, Shirlene was
displeased. So her tone was cold. “What can I do for you, Ms.
Hayworth?”
Buena sensed her hostility and flipped through her long hair
calmly. Along with Shirlene’s gaze, she looked at the most eye-
catching man in the crowd. Buena smiled, “Sebastian is indeed.
an excellent man. So I understand why many women with
ulterior intentions want to approach him. But I have to say, he’s
met all kinds of women. How would he like you? What do you
think, Ms. Osborne?”
Shirlene’s eyes were dark. “Just spit it out. Don’t beat around the
bush.”

Hearing this, Buena had a cold look in her eyes. She stood
straight and said proudly, “In this case, I’ll put it clearly. Ms.
Osborne, please stop pestering him. Sebastian said he didn’t
want to see you in the Heyday Edifice. How could you follow
him and come here? You’re shameless!”
Shirlene’s face turned cold bit by bit. She withdrew her gaze
from Sebastian and cast it on Buena’s face, pondering.
“Ms. Hayworth, what’s your position to say that to me? His
girlfriend?” Shirlene sneered coldly.
Buena felt uncomfortable about her sharp gaze. But thinking
that Sebastian didn’t stop her, she became confident.
She looked up at Shirlene and nodded proudly. “Ms. Osborne,
since you know it, you shouldn’t have done this to embarrass.
yourself.”
Hearing that Buena admitted her relationship with Sebastian,
Shirlene felt her heart ached at that moment. It twitched in pain
as if someone had punched her heart.
Shirlene clenched her fists, breathed, and looked at Buena’s
proud face with a half–smile. “Ms. Hayworth, as far as I know,
Sebastian is married. Don’t you that? You as his girlfriend…”
Shirlene had a mysterious smile on her face with sarcasm in her

eyes.
Buena’s face turned pale at once as she grabbed her bag harder.
It was actually true that Sebastian was married. Buena thought
it was a rumor without evidence, so she had been pushing her
luck. She thought it was fake. After all, no one had seen
Sebastian’s wife before. No one knew if it was true.
But Shirlene seemed confident as if she had known something
about it…
Buena cooled herself down and said coldly, “Ms. Osborne, do
think I’ll fall for the rumor?”
If she hadn’t torn apart their marriage certificate, she would
have shown it to Buena.
Seeing that she remained quiet with her head down, Buena
thought it was just a hearsay. So she was relieved. As she looked
at Shirlene, she was even more impatient.
“Ms. Osborne, you’d better know what you are. Don’t dream of
something out of your reach.” Buena looked at the receptionist
and said sulkily, “Not everyone is allowed in. Those who have
ulterior intentions shouldn’t be allowed in. Or they may cause
trouble.”

“Ms. Hayworth, I’m sorry. I’ll handle this now.” The receptionist
apologized politely to Buena at once and turned to Shirlene. Her
face changed. “Miss, please leave. Or I will call the security.”
Buena smiled smugly. She stared at Shirlene proudly. “You
heard that. Why aren’t you leaving? Are you waiting for the
security?”
The receptionist walked forward and said harshly, “Please go
away!”
“She’s my companion. How dare you ask her to leave?”
Lester walked over fast and stood before Shirlene. His smile was
gone. His sharp eyes looked at the receptionist and Buena. He
said sulkily, “I want you to apologize to her now, or…”
The receptionist looked at Lester and thought of something. She
bowed to Shirlene and apologized, “Sorry. I didn’t know you
were Mr. Gerrard’s companion. I made a mistake. Sorry.”
Shirlene looked up at Lester significantly.
It surprised Buena too. She looked at Shirlene and then Lester,
saying in annoyance, “It’s between her and me. Why did you
interfere?”
Lester gave out a cold vibe, no longer as easygoing as he was

before Shirlene. “She was invited by me. You offend me if you
are not nice to her. Buena, apologize!”
Lester’s tone was firm and oppressive, which annoyed Buena
more.
“Lester, you’d better be smart. She’s no pushover.”
Buena got closer to Shirlene and whispered in her ear, “I admire
you. You actually hooked up with Lester within such a short
time. But don’t be too greedy. Sebastian is never the man you
can get.”
Then Buena snorted with disdain and was about to leave on her
high heels.
“Wait.” Shirlene sneered, “I’d like to repeat it for you. Sebastian is
never the man you can get.””
Shirlene thought, “He’s mine!”
Buena paused and snorted. “Let’s wait and see!”
Just as she turned around, she heard Lester’s cold voice. “Did I let
you go?”
“What do you want?” Buena turned around with a frown and
looked at him impatiently.

“Apologize to her!”
Lester’s voice was loud, which caught people’s attention at once
in the house. Many people looked over. Buena glared at Shirlene
and didn’t want to compromise. So there was a deadlock.
Then here came footsteps. Sebastian’s cold voice sounded.
“What happened?”
His dark eyes fell on Shirlene with complex feelings.
Hearing his voice, Buena was relieved and took his arm with a
smile, saying gently, “There is a misunderstanding between me
and Ms. Osborne. It’s no big deal. But Ms. Osborne’s companion
is mad. So…”
“Really?” Sebastian snorted, his dark eyes fixed on Shirlene
coldly.
He thought, “Double standard!
She refuses to attend activities with me, her husband. But now,
she is here with a man whom she just met for a private party!
She is challenging my bottom lines!”
