Everyone looked at my leg. But Isabella quickly interjected:
“Scarlett is still at the school reflecting. How could she be here? After the auction, we’ll go check the school and you’ll
see.”
D
They all agreed with her. There was no way I could be here.
Ultimately, Isabella bought me at a high price.
Before leaving, she told the other men that she wanted to see me first.
She sent everyone away, opened the glass enclosure door, and stepped closer to me, savagely gripping my throat:
“You want them to recognize you? All your scheming, is it useful?”
“Still trying to use that children’s rhyme to awaken their memories? Don’t be so delusional! In their hearts, I was the one who accompanied them!”
The more she spoke, the more agitated she became, but the grip on her hand suddenly loosened: “What good were all your sacrifices? They just benefited me!”
“Don’t worry, as long as you sing the children’s rhyme completely for me, I’ll give you a quick end! Life at the school isn’t easy, is it?”
She released her grip. I coughed a few times, suppressing the pain, and smiled: “Okay, but I’m too weak. Come closer, and I’ll tell you.”
Isabella was wary, but seeing me chained, she confidently approached.
I softly hummed the children’s rhyme, and the instant she let her guard down, I abruptly wrapped the iron chain around her neck and pulled it tight!
She struggled desperately, kicking the glass enclosure, sending fragments scattering.
She wanted to attract attention from outside, but I was prepared. I had set a fire in another area, drawing everyone’s attention there.
Only the two of us remained here.
Isabella’s struggles grew weaker and weaker until she finally stopped moving.
I watched her die before me, my heart utterly calm.
I never intended for them to recognize me. My goal, from the very beginning, was only Isabella!
I wanted to make her afraid, make her guilty, make her seek me out!
She wanted to know the secrets between me and those men. I wouldn’t let her have her way!
The men outside calmed down. The more they thought about it, the more something felt wrong. They sent Roman to wait for Isabella, while the other three headed to the school.

At the school, all they heard were reports of how “obedient” and “well–behaved” I had been under various tortures.
Ryder was furious, punching the headmaster.
The headmaster, trembling, confessed that Isabella herself had personally devised the new “discipline” plan.
They finally realized that the woman at the auction might truly have been me. They rushed back.
But by then, the building was engulfed in raging flames, people fleeing everywhere.
The four men, however, rushed into the inferno without hesitation, searching for my figure.
I dragged my broken body, climbing onto the rooftop.
Standing at such a height, I felt a tremor of acrophobia, but looking down, I smiled with relief.
I could finally be free.
Just as I prepared to jump, I heard their voices behind me:
“Scarlett! Don’t jump!”
Roman, usually so ruthless, now had a face full of tenderness:
C
“Scarlett, I remember! We said we’d find a quiet place after I cleaned up my act and live our own happy lives. I’ll take you
there now!”
As they searched for me, with Isabella’s death, the mental restraints she’d placed on them vanished. They all remembered their past promises and how they had wronged me.
Ryder, that tough, unyielding man, actually knelt before me: “Scarlett, don’t leave! You’re mine! I promised to give you a
home. I’ve kept all your things safe. Let’s go home!”
Julian’s eyes reddened too: “You once encouraged me to live. How can you die now? If you’re gone, what will I do?”
His aloof, deity–like demeanor, speaking such words, made him seem like a mortal man losing his beloved.
Sebastian, who rarely showed emotion, choked out: “Scarlett, you’ve always been my wife. Come with me, I’ll give you a grand wedding!”
They pleaded with me, vying for my attention. But I just smiled: “Where is your beloved Isabella? When you came up, you must have seen I strangled her. Don’t you hate me?”
They cried like children: “It was all her fault for twisting our memories! The one we loved was always you! Come back, let’s start over!”
I smiled and shook my head: “It’s too late. I stopped wanting any of you a long time ago.”
With that, I leaped, leaving this world behind.
Their outstretched hands grabbed nothing. They fell to their knees, their cries tearing through the air.

After I died, the System said: “Congratulations, redemption successful! All four male leads have returned to normal. You can be reborn now.””

“Send me home,” I said.
“Not so fast,” the System replied. “Don’t you want to see what they’ll do?”

Ryder tightly held my lifeless body. In his desperate grief, he collapsed and ended his own life.
Julian murmured “This is karma,” then calmly slashed his wrist, letting his blood flow freely until he was consumed by the merciless fire.
Sebastian held a grand wedding for us, then self–immolated, turning everything to ash.
Roman buried me on the island he’d bought, transforming it into our drea he slowly tortured himself to death.

They didn’t turn dark. They didn’t harm anyone else. They just chose self–destruction.
After witnessing it all, I returned to my own body.
Time had stopped at the moment before the car accident. Grandma held me, crying tears of joy.
I took her for a check–up and discovered all her ailments had vanished!
The System had kept its promise, extending Grandma’s life by fifty years.
I hugged Grandma tightly, crying tears of happiness: “Grandma, I just want you by my side.”
“Silly child, why are you crying?” Grandma gently stroked my head.
“You said you lost that lucky charm? It’s okay, Grandma will make you another one. As long as you’re well, Grandma will
be at ease.”
Grandma, this time, it’s my turn to protect you.
