Chapter 11
When Kerian burst out of the auditorium, it was pouring rain.]]
Water streamed down his hair, soaking through his suit jacket in seconds.
But he didn’t give a damn–he jumped in his car, floored the gas pedal, and raced toward the hospital.
The scenery blurred past his windows while rain hammered the windshield, making it hard to see.
Something felt wrong. Really wrong.
He kept telling himself it was fine, that Vic would forgive him.]
After all, she loved him like crazy.
But he couldn’t shake the image of how Victoria had looked at him that last time-
Calm, distant, like she’d already given up on him completely.
His chest felt like it was being crushed, making it impossible to breathe [
“Vic, just wait for me… I’m coming. “[]
But when he shoved open the hospital room door, he froze solid
The bed was stripped hare, sheets folded like a damn hotel room, every trace of her gone–water glass, pill bottles, everything
“Where the hell is she?” He spun around, the words practically growling out of him.
The nurse on duty jumped, stammering her response:]
“Ms. Wenmir… she checked herself out this morning. She’s already gone..
“What time?!”
“About… three hours ago
Three hours ago?]
Right when he’d been walking into that graduation bullshit with Sophia.
Kerian’s fist slammed into the wall so hard his knuckles split, but he couldn’t feel the pain
He yanked out his phone and called Victoria again–same cold automated message.
Hestarted c
I calling everyone in his contacts who might know where she’d gone, but got the same useless responses-
“Vic? Nah, haven’t talked to her.”
always with
“Isn’t she always with you?”
“Dude, what’s going on?
Kerian slumped against the wall, feeling like someone had ripped his heart out with their bare hands
He suddenly remembered Victoria’s last words to him.
Just go.”
Her voice had been so calm, not even a hint of emotion
She’d already decided to leave.
Meanwhile, Sophia stood in a corner of the graduation venue, her makeup streaked with tears.
She was clutching her phone, staring at a text she’d just received-
“Mr. Howard just went back to the hospital.“]
“Ha… She let out this bitter laugh, her nails digging into her palms.
She’d put her heart on the line in front of everyone and he’d crushed her without even blinking–just ran straight back to that bitch!||
Why the hell did Victoria get everything?||||
She speed dialed a number, her voice ice cold: “You idiots blew it last time. This is your shot to make it right“||
The voice on the other end hesitated: “Miss Lavirins, the hospital’s probably gonna be
“I’ll double your money.” She cut him off ruthlessly. “Howard’s not there right now. Grab Victoria and make her disappear for good.”
Kerian stood by the hospital window, watching rain streak down the glass, blurring the world outside.
He suddenly remembered how Victoria used to say she hated rainy days.
He’d always laughed and ruffled her hair. Then I’ll stay with you every time it rains, okay?”
But now, where was she? Still hurt, probably getting soaked somewhere,
He closed his eyes and turned to the bodyguard at the door. “Check every flight, every train ticket purchase. Look at all her usual hangouts. Find her.“|
The guard nodded and headed out, but just as he reached the corner, sounds of a struggle erupted
||
Kerian’s expression went deadly as he charged into the hallway, just in time to see several strange men being pinned down by his security team. One of them was still holding a length of rope.
“Mr. Howard!” His bodyguard looked up, breathing han
hard. These guys were lurking around the room, claiming they were here to visit.
but they don’t even know Ms. Wenmir“]
Kerian’s eyes went arctic.

He slowly walked over and looked down at them, his voice dangerously low: “Who sent you?”
One of them tried to play tough: “We just got off on the wrong floor!”
Kerian smiled coldly and stepped down hard on the guy’s wrist. The sound of bone cracking echoed through the hallway.[]
“AHHH!” The scream bounced off the walls.
