I spent the morning splurging at luxury boutiques with my bestie. After a quick lunch sampling local cuisine, we planned to check out some iconic architecture.
Just as we were about to head out, my brother called, his voice dripping with schadenfreude.
“Yara, Simon came looking for you. Mom sent him packing,” he chuckled.\
“Word is, those two brothers are desperately searching for their wives, clueless that you’ve both skipped town.”
“Karma’s a bitch, huh? They didn’t appreciate what they had, and now they’re left high and dry.”

After two days of touristy stuff, we were getting bored.
