“Do you have any idea what kind of mess we’re in right now?” Ryan snapped, his voice filled with fury and regret. “We’ve been completely isolated by the pack–mocked, humiliated. And now the Alpha’s kicking us out of Bluemoon altogether! We’re rogues now!”
“Without the protection of a pack, without money–how the hell are we supposed to survive?!”
His eyes burned with rage as he glared at Megan. “If it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t be in this goddamn situation!”
Megan went pale. Her fingers trembled as she stammered, “No… no, this can’t be happening… this isn’t real.”
Amanda let out a bitter laugh, her face contorted with anger. “You’re still in denial? You were the one who insisted on stealing Lauren’s mate–who kept provoking her again and again. How the hell did you think that was going to end?!”
“She’s the Alpha King’s daughter now! A princess! How could we ever hope to compete with her?!”
“You’re nothing but a walking disaster!”
Megan flinched at the words, her body stiffening. Her eyes filled with panic before tipping into fury.
“So now everything’s my fault?” she shouted hysterically, voice cracking. “You two were the ones who told me to go after her mate! You told me to make sure he rejected her! You told me to suppress her, to make her life hell!”
Her voice shook with rage and disbelief. “You always protected me, didn’t you?! You always said you were on my side! Now that things have gone south, you’re just gonna dump everything on me?!”
Ryan slammed his hand against the table with a deafening bang. “You’re yelling at us? Do you even realize what you’ve done?!”
“If you’d just kept your mouth shut, no one would’ve doubted that kid was yours! Luna Lily was ready to believe you! But you let yourself get riled up and lost control. You practically confessed the whole damn thing!”
“If you hadn’t blurted it out yourself, there wouldn’t be a DNA test! How could you be so stupid?!”
Megan stopped breathing for a moment. Her face drained of all color.
Ryan let out a low, scornful laugh. “We’ve protected you your whole life, Megan. And this is how you repay us? All you do is screw things up.”
That was when it hit her.
She hadn’t just been cast out by the Bluemoon Pack.
Her own parents–who once adored her–had lost their patience too.
She stood there, frozen, completely hollowed out.
She had always believed she was the beloved daughter–the one who could never do anything wrong.
But now, she could see it clearly.
Even her parents had started to resent her.
And yet, just when I thought Megan would finally back down, she did the unthinkable thing.
One day, Ashley shoved her phone toward me.
“Take a look,” she said coldly. “You won’t believe how shameless this bitch can be.”
I glanced at the screen. It was a long, emotionally manipulative post that had gone viral:
“She’s Taken Everything From Me Since We Were Kids.”
The post was pages long, a tear–soaked account of Megan’s so–called “tragic life.”
She wrote that I bullied her as a child–used my position as the elder daughter to control and silence her. That I stole every good thing the family had to offer.
She claimed I was two–faced–sweet on the surface, manipulative underneath–and had forced our parents to give my mate to me. That she had no choice but to step aside.
And now, she said, I was flaunting my identity as the Alpha King’s daughter–abusing my power to destroy her. That I had forced her to sever her mate bond, abandon the pack, and ruin her life.
Every word was calculated, full of victimhood and venom, painting herself as the poor, helpless girl I’d allegedly tormented. Chapter 9
