Chapter 11
The Clark couple froze in place, stunned.
But Bianca clutched her belly and started crying. “Eloise, I know you’ve always hated me for stealing Tristan from you, but we’ve already paid the price for what we did. Please, I’m begging you, don’t hurt this child. It’s our only hope.”
Tristan nearly jumped off the hospital bed in rage. “Eloise, stop talking nonsense! That child is definitely mine! Bianca’s only been with me these past six months!“}
“Oh really?” I raised a brow. “You seem awfully confident.”
My tone instantly put the Clark couple on high alert.
“Take care of the pregnancy,” Mr. Clark said coldly. “In three months, we’ll do a prenatal DNA test. If the child really is from our bloodline, we’ll raise it properly. But if it’s not…”

Desperate, Bianca pretended to be pitiful. She begged them to stay just long enough to help her recover during her postpartum confinement.

With no other options, the Clark couple had to take their mentally broken son overseas for treatment.
But before leaving, Mr. Clark called Drake.
He asked him to take over the family business here in the country.
After all, at this point, there was no one else left to inherit their legacy.
I leaned in and kissed Drake on the cheek. “Looks like you won without even having to fight.”
He smiled and pinched my cheek gently. “You know, I’ve noticed you’re getting prettier by the day. You’re not secretly draining my energy. are you?”
“Ugh, get lost!” I laughed, swatting his hand. “This isn’t energy–sucking, it’s called mutual nourishment! Unless you cheat on me, that is, then I will drain you dry and leave you as cursed as Tristan.”
Drake instantly put on a terrified face and threw his hands up in surrender. “Never! I swear. I’ll be loyal to you for the rest of my life!”
