“DING!”
“Payment received: Five million dollars!”
The robotic voice from the teacher’s phone cut through the dead silence like a knife. Then someone absolutely LOST their mind:[]
“WHAT THE ACTUAL F-! Lily’s mom just dropped FIVE MILLION like it was nothing!“]]
Charlotte’s face went dark as hell. She was frantically tapping on her phone, jaw clenched tight, before another robotic voice announced:
“DING!”
“Payment received: Ten million dollars!“]
The crowd went absolutely INSANE. Parents were literally jaw–dropped, eyes bugging out: “TEN MILLION?! Are they completely INSANE?!“]
“Holy crap, now THAT’S old money! Charlotte’s got serious power! We’re not even in the same league!“[]
After three massive donations in a row, even the teacher was sweating bullets and wiping his forehead.[]
Madison was practically bouncing with glee. “YES! Go Mommy!“]
Charlotte was absolutely basking in all the worship, patting her daughter’s head like some kind of queen.[]
“Princess, your mom promised – whatever you want, however much it costs, she’s got your back! Ten million is NOTHING!“]
Yeah, ten million is nothing alright.
Some cheating witch using MY money to show off for her side piece while bullying MY daughter. She had NO idea what was coming for her.
I was actually kind of curious now just how far would Ryan go for these two? And exactly how much of my money had he been funneling to his little girlfriend behind my back?
Under Charlotte’s smug, triumphant stare, I spoke up nice and casual:[]
“Twenty million.”
Every single person whipped around to stare at me like I’d just announced I was an alien.[]
“Is Lily’s mom having a complete mental breakdown?! There’s NO WAY she has twenty million!“]
Charlotte was practically snarling. “Running your mouth is easy when you’re just talking…“]
She didn’t even get to finish before that beautiful robotic voice rang out again:]

“DING! Payment received: Twenty million dollars!“[]
My smile got even sweeter. “I’m always happy to support education. So… feeling like making another donation? Because I can do this ALL. DAY. LONG.“[]
“Holy SHIT! Lily’s family is loaded too! Who saw THAT coming?“]
The teacher was practically dripping sweat now but grinning like he’d won the lottery as he turned to Charlotte. “Mrs. Sterling, are you planning to… match that donation?“]
Charlotte’s eyes went ice cold before she whipped out her phone and speed–dialed Ryan again.[]
A few minutes later, she was back to being absolutely insufferable, making this big show of unfolding her fancy tri–fold phone and “accidentally” showing off her screensaver.[]
Someone with eagle eyes immediately spotted it: “Wait, is that Ryan Mitchell, the CEO of Oceanview Corp?! Holy crap, that’s Madison’s FATHER!“[]
“Look at that family photo! It’s wild seeing the Ryan Mitchell – you know, that genius businessman ice king- actually smiling like that!”
“Well, that’s game over for Lily! Her mom might have money, but nobody in Harbor City can touch Oceanview Corporation!“[]
Some well–meaning parent actually grabbed my arm, looking genuinely worried: “Lily’s mom, you need to STOP this right now! Everyone in Harbor City knows you don’t mess with Oceanview Corp! Cross them and you’ll never do business in this town again they’ll destroy you completely!“]]
Charlotte strutted over to me like she owned the whole damn world, chin up, eyes full of pure disgust and contempt.]
“I was trying to keep things classy, but some people just don’t know when to quit. NOW do you get it? You might have a few bucks lying around, but compared to REAL elite families like ours? You’re absolutely NOTHING!“]
I raised an eyebrow and asked with fake innocence, “Wait, so you’re saying your husband is Ryan Mitchell, the CEO of Oceanview Corporation?“]]
