The brown–nosers were shooting pure venom at me and Lily, like they wanted to rip us apart.[]
Charlotte’s face twisted into this sick, triumphant grin.
“You pathetic loser! My husband’s here and you’re FINISHED!“[]
I kept my voice perfectly calm. “Is that so?”
Ryan stepped out looking expensive and rushed straight to Charlotte and Madison, completely ignoring me and Lily.]
The second he saw Madison’s bloody knee, his face went black with rage.[]
“Who did this?! Don’t they know Madison is MY daughter?!“]
Charlotte was practically vibrating with excitement. “Baby, it was that PSYCHO! Make them PAY!“]]
Ryan followed her finger, ready to explode, but froze the instant he saw me. All the color drained from his face.]
I walked over slowly with Lily, locking eyes with him the whole time.]

I made sure everyone could hear me loud and clear:[]
“Apologize? To HER? Not happening! But YOU better start explaining why Madison’s calling you DADDY and Charlotte’s calling you HUSBAND!“[]
The crowd immediately started buzzing with confusion.[]

Ryan’s face went dark red. His temple was literally pulsing as he hissed under his breath: “Maya, don’t push it! I just adopted Madison as my goddaughter. Why are you being so disgusting about this? You’re a grown woman picking on a kid!“[]
“Besides, I’m your husband! We’re a team! Embarrassing me doesn’t help you, so shut up and go apologize!“]
My smile turned ice cold. Without a word, I slapped him across the face HARD.

Charlotte was absolutely LIVID. “You piece of trash! How DARE you hit my man!“]
She started yelling at the security guards: “Grab her! Hold her down! I’m gonna knock every tooth out of her head“]]
The security guards rushed toward me and Lily while Ryan just stared at me in dead silence!]
Right as the guards were about to grab us, Lilyhurst out:]
