Chapter 9
Harrison’s bombshell left my former tormentors speechless.[]
“Wait–did Harrison just call Victoria his REAL wife?“]
“How the fuck is that possible? She’s just some broke nobody!“]
“What the hell is happening?“]]

Not only were the classmates stunned, but Lillian herself stared at Harrison in disbelief: “Harrison, you’re joking, right? Victoria’s just trash–she can’t be your billionaire wife!“[]
Harrison put on his most sincere act: “Lillian, my father arranged our marriage. I had no choice. But YOU’RE the one I truly love.“]
He declared his love for Lillian right in front of me–the ultimate humiliation.[]
My classmates instantly flipped back to cruel mode:[]
“Thank God! Thought this nobody actually won the lottery!“]
“Harrison admitting he loves Lillian in front of his legal wife? That says everything!“[]
“Victoria’s still absolutely nothing!“[]
Lillian’s devastation melted into triumph: “Harrison, hearing you say that makes everything worth it.“[]
After giving Harrison a loving look, she shifted her gaze to me, taunting: “Victoria, if you had any self–respect, you’d disappear. Some positions aren’t meant for bottom–feeders like you.“[]
I turned to Harrison: “Is that how you feel too?“]
His voice turned ice–cold: “Our marriage was business. Nothing more. But Lillian’s different–she’s carrying my child. I’m giving her the wedding she deserves. Deal with it.“]
“Stay quiet, know your place, and you keep Mrs. Ellsworth title. For show.“]
I burst out laughing: “You think I give a shit about being Mrs. Ellsworth?“[]
Harrison’s arrogance reached new heights: “Every woman in Washington would kill for your position.“[]
His smugness was nauseating–like I was some desperate gold digger clinging to him.[]
“Harrison, you really underestimate me.“[]
He sneered, his eyes laced with contempt: “No, Victoria. You overestimate yourself. The only reason I tolerate you is because my father told me to maintain this marriage. Otherwise, you’d be nothing. Let alone causing a scene at my wedding with Lillian”
Causing a scene?]
Chapter 9
I looked at Harrison and let out a sharp laugh.[]
“You betrayed your family, remarried, had a kid–and you call me the problem?“]
“Ever heard of bigamy?“]
“Or do you think you’re above the law?“]
Harrison’s laugh was cruel: “Only weak people hide behind laws. I’m Washington’s richest man–I can make you everything or nothing with a phone call.“]]
I smirked. “Are you threatening me?“[]
Harrison stared straight at me. “No. I’m giving you a chance. When Lillian’s home, you serve her and the baby. Keep them happy, stay invisible, and your life stays comfortable.“||
“And if I refuse?”
His face went dark: “I’ll take everything. Leave you homeless and broken.“[]
Take everything?
I
smiled coldly: “Harrison, since you want to play this game, gloves are off.“[]
“Let’s see which of us ends up with nothing.“]
