“Ooof…” A groan escaped from Jeremiah’s lips.
If he hadn’t been wearing a mask, one would have seen his face turn red from enduring the pain.
“Ray–Ray, are you trying to leave me impotent? Do you even realize that you almost ruined your own sex life? I never imagined you would be using the combat arts I taught you against me one day. Ray–Ray, is this a case of me digging my own grave?”
Raylee said with a huff, “Serves you right! You’re a jerk who toys with people’s feelings. It’s karma that you end up impotent!” “Before you get angry, could you please check whose phone it was?” Jeremiah handed over the phone to her, wincing in pain.
Raylee frowned, taking over the phone for a look.

“Jeremiah, were you chatting with Angela on my phone?” Raylee vehemently shook her head. “No, that’s not right, I don’t Jhave Angela’s WhatsApp! Who were you chatting with on my phone? Who’s going to marry you?”
“Check the chat history first before you say another word, you silly girl! I’m about to lose my mind. I feel so wronged!” Jeremiah retorted indignantly.
Upon unlocking her phone, Raylee scrutinized the chat history. Only then did she realize that Jeremiah had been impersonating her, engaging in a conversation with Casimir.
Realizing her mistake, Raylee began to feel awkward.
This misunderstanding has gotten way out of hand…
After going through the chat log, Raylee quickly helped Jeremiah to the couch, apologizing guiltily.
“I’m sorry, darling. I didn’t hurt you, did I? I’m sorry, okay? Don’t be mad. I didn’t go all out just now; I wouldn’t do anything to harm your ability to have children, let alone end your sex life. This I promise!”
“There, there, you clueless fool You’re now cried yourself into a puddle of tears. I forgive you.” Regaining his composure, Jeremiah couldn’t help but shake his head in resignation.
“Next time, could you perhaps get your facts straight before pointing fingers? Your temper is really getting worse each day. You’ve even started hitting me! How could you use your combat arts on your own master?”
Pouting, Raylee was filled with guilt. “Why didn’t you explain carlier? I thought you and Angela.
“Why are you suddenly suspicious of me and Angela?” Jeremiah scoffed. “Didn’t I make myself clear? I have no such feelings for her. If it wasn’t for your treatment, I would prefer her to be as far away from me as possible.”
“You were so emotional earlier. It shows that you still care for her.”
“There’s really no need to worry. Her presence can’t shake the bond between us, Ray–Ray, My love for you is true.”
“But you two had a history… there was something between you.” Raylee bit her lip, her voice trailing off.
“Who told you this? Was it Angela?” Jeremiah’s tone held a hint of irritation. “That woman continues to blatantly ignore my warnings, always finding a way to talk circles around me. Does she really think I can’t do without her? This just pisses me off!” “It was she who called you, inadvertently letting it slip. I didn’t tell you that besides answering Halston’s call, I also answered
hers.
Feeling the need to be candid, Raylee voiced out the dissatisfaction that was brewing within her.
“If it were just unrequited love, that would be one thing. But she’s your ex–girlfriend, you know. With you being in contact with your ex–girlfriend so frequently, how could I not overthink it? As the saying goes, time breeds affection. Given that you two share a common goal and had a past together, it’s hard to believe that old feelings wouldn’t be rekindled. Let’s look at it from another perspective. What if I were in close contact with Casimir, and we were fighting side by side for a common goal? What would you think then?”

Listening to the choked sobs of Raylee, Jeremiah was filled with heartache.
He expressed his helplessness. “But our shared goal is to cure you! We did share a past together, that’s true. You could even say she was my first love.
