Chapter 4
Isabela’s eyelid twitched, realizing something was wrong. She suddenly turned around and found her slides had been replaced by someone.
What’s playing on the screen now are all kinds of ugly photos of her that were maliciously taken without her consent when she was in college.
Besides, there were also many bed photos with mosale, you can clearly see her face.
Isabela recognized them at a glance, these are all photos cut from the surveillance of Darren’s villa.
She felt like her blood froze, her mind went blank, and she instinctively loolood towards Darren’s position.
He was frowning slightly, while Flaine next to him had a contemptuous and provocative smile on her face.
Isabela immediately knew it was her who did it, blood rushed to her head and she walked up to her, wanting to ask her how she could let her go.
Darren’s face changed, he stood in front of her, his tone icy cold.
“What are you doing? Do you want to embarrass yourself even more? Don’t forget, you’re just a secretary!”
Isabela looked at him with tears in her eyes, “Mr. Cressey, I may just be a secretary, but I am also a person. Don’t I deserve respect? She deliberately showed these photos.”
“Have you had enough? Don’t go crazy here!”
Darren’s face turned red and he stopped her, then he called the security and kicked her out.
In front of everyone, she was dragged by her hair, in a sorry state, pulled out of the venue and pushed down from the high steps.
She rolled down the stairs, hitting her whole body and turning blue, blood seeping out and staining the floor red.
The excruciating pain attacked her from head to toe, tearing at her nerves.
She held back her tears for a long time, but they finally burst out, blurring her vision.
She hugged herself tightly, curled up into a ball, and gradually lost consciousness..
Not knowing how long had passed, Isabela opened her eyes and found herself in the hospital
She stared at the ceiling for a long time, picked up her phone, and saw that all her colleagues were discussing the annual meeting in the group chat. Some people posted live videos and photos, shamelessly mocking
“Isabela didn’t look that great, but she’s actually quite wild in private? I thought she was cold and aloof, turns out she’s just a fox pretending to be innocent. Who knows who she’s fooling around with, taking so many photos, she’s really thirsty!”
“Where did you get the idea that she’s frigid? Isn’t she always trying to seduce Mr. Cressey at work? She’s always hanging around him, but luckily Mr. Cressey only has eyes for Ms. Reilly and doesn’t even look at her trashy self!”
“Only relying on her body to climb up, dat wild chick dares to compare herself with Ms. Reilly? It’s an insult to Ms, Reilly. I really wish she would have some self–respect and leave early. If she still shamelessly stays in the company, that would be a joke!”
Sentence by sentence, Isabela’s heart felt like it was being cut by a dull lite, the pain was unbearable.
The palm was squeezed until it bled, teeth bit down on the sourness, she barely swallowed those painful emotions.
I don’t know how long passed, the door of the ward was pushed oper
She looked up and saw a male colleague from the planning department walking in, holding a cup of hot water.
“Bella, are you awalor? How do you feel? Do you want me to call a doctor to check on you?”
Isabela froze for a moment, shook her head.
“I’m fine, did you bring me to the hospital?”
Gerald Webb scratched his head apologetically and flashed a su
‘II saw you passed out at the door, got worried and took you to the hospital. Luckily, you were just under too much stress during this period.”
When trabela heard the word “coma,” she remembered what happened at the annual meeting, and her face froze.
Gerald realized he said the wrong thing and didn’t dare to speak again,

The room fell silent for a while, then he cautiously spoke up.
“Della, don’t worry too much about those rumors, they’re Just being mean to you, not because you did anything wrong, but because they’re blased against you. I know someone must be trying in harm you, that’s why they purposely leaked those photos. You can report to the police, or if you don’t want to deal with this perssure, I can share it with you, just say you’re in a normal relationship.
Seeing his ears turning red rapidly, Isabela remembered how he used to talk to her out of the blur and occasionally bring her some coffee and snacks.
She only realized in hindsight that Gerald probably liked her.
But she always just saw him as a regular colleague, and she had already made up her mind to leave.
So when faced with his ambiguous confession, Isabela forced out a smile and politely declined.
“Thanks for your kindness, but I can handle this myself.”
Gerald’s
‘s eyes showed a hint of disappointment, but he wasn’t ready to give up yet.
He took out a bunch of roses from under the bed and handed it to her, then he stuttered, “…
“Actually, I’ve liked you for a long time, but I never had the courage to confess. I know it’s not a great time now, but I still want to give it a try. Will you give me a chance, let’s try to be together.”
His words weren’t even finished when the door of the ward was kicked open forcefully.
Both of them were startled and turned around at the same time, only to see Darren with a black face.
He glared at Gerald with a dark expression, and three uncontrollable angry tones squeezed out of his throat.
“Niet out!”
