Chapter 13
n’t slept for three days.
Rhett hasn’t!
The blue light from the computer screen reflected on his tired face, and there were thick brown stairs accumulated in the coffee cup
He rubbed his sore temples, his fingertips tapping quickly on the keyboard, lines of code scrolling like water.
Found It
A blinking IP address popped up on the screen, pinpointing the location to Smubar’s upscale apartment.
Rhett sneered and hacked into the opponent’s device.
The camera automatically turned on, and a familiar face appeared on the screen.
Elaine had a smug smile on her face as she removed her makeup in front of the mirror. Her phone screen was lit up, showing the anonymous message she had just sent:
Η
Isabela deserved to be cyberbullied”
Rhett’s eyes turned icy cold.
He quickly grabbed all the data from Elaine’s computer, including her encrypted private photo album.
It was all about her decadent life when she was studying abroad: being a third party in relationships, attending wild parties, and even recording her bribing a professor.
“I hope you can understand in the future, that everything comes with a price.”
Rhett sarcastically smirked, flicked his finger, and packed up all those files.
It was already late at night. Elaine was enjoying putting on a face mask and scrolling through Twitter when suddenly a strange message popped up on her
computer.
“Ms. Reilly, apologize to Isabela publicly on the internet before 8 o’clock tomorrow morning, or these photos will end up
The thumbnail in the attachment made her blood run cold instantly that was her past she most wanted to destroy
Darren’s inbox”
“Who?! Who’s messing around she screamed and smashed the mouse
Then another video popped up on the screen: “She hired someone to track Isabela, and the whole process of taking the PS bed photos was captured clearly.”
The last line in red is shocking “You have 7 hours and 59 minutes lat.‘
She was so scared that she shook all over and accidentally broke the mug beside her.
Looking at the mess all over the floor, she was completely stunned in place.
When the first ray of light in the morning found its way into the bedroom through the curtaing, Isabela was shocked, staring at her phone with trembling fingertips.
The foruen in the small town was filled with apology statements about Elaine, in the post, Elaine admitted that she “spread rumors out of jealousy.” All the posts
defaming Isabela were deleted, and even the records of transferring money to the water army were attached.
“How could..” she muttered to hersell, suddenly overshadowed by a shadow.
Rhett pushed the hot milk in front of her, with a deep dark look in his eyes, “Morning,”
Isabela suddenly looked up and said, “Was it you who did it?”
He smiled, took out his phone and showed her Elaine’s latest Instagram post–a location tag at the airport with the caption “Going abroad to relay”
“She didn’t dare to come back in the short term,” Rhett said casually, but the hoarseness in his voice couldn’t be hidden.
Isabela suddenly grabbed his hand, filled with countless complex emotions.
She opened her mouth, and besides saying thank you, she had a lot more to say
It was on the tip of my tongue, but it all turned into a lump in my throat.
“No one has ever done these things for me,” Isabela’s voice trembled, “Thank you for being willing to believe in me and standing by my side unconditionally to help me…”

Rhett held
id her cold hand and smiled, “You deserve it, because you are a good person.”
The sunlight shone on his shoulder through the glass window, and Isabela noticed that he was still wearing yesterday’s shirt under his white coat, with coffee stains on the cults.
She suddenly cried.
The tears that weren’t shed when publicly humiliated, the tears that were held back when torn clothes, are all now falling on the hands of the two people holding each other.
Rhett wiped away her tears with his thumb, didn’t say much to comfort her, just looked out the window quietly, and suddenly said softly, “Look, it’s getting light.”
Outside the window, the morning sun was rearing through the clouds.
